About the Schoolhouse
We designed the transformation of this unique and charming, one-of-a-kind old schoolhouse with our guests in mind!

The schoolhouse and attached schoolmaster's residence underwent an extensive restoration in 2021 to 2023. The one bedroom one bathroom self contained school house is accessed through the front porch, and is completely separate from the schoolmaster's side.

You will have exclusive use during your stay in the very church like sandstone school, where hundreds of children were taught between 1858 and 1938.

The nine gothic windows are stunning against a backdrop of a statement staircase.
Enjoy the sanctuary of the mezzanine bedroom and the yesteryear charm of the fresh new mezzanine bathroom with underfloor heating, clawfoot bath and a shower you can have a party in!

There is a full kitchen with cooking basics at hand, a six to eight seat dining table and comfy leather lounges and club chairs in the living area complete with a dramatic stone wall, a feature chimney and double wood fire burner. The bedroom is in the loft complete with reverse cycle airconditioning and electric blankets in months April through to October. There is also reverse cycle airconditioning in the main living (kitchen, dining, lounge).
About the Owners
Monique and Charlie are the owners of the property. They spent over two years renovating the heritage listed schoolhouse. The schoolhouse and attached schoolmaster's residence underwent an extensive restoration in 2021 to 2023. Monique has a love for state heritage properties especially when they are sandstone and is excited to welcome guests into the space. They live in the schoolmaster's residence while you will have exclusive access to the schoolhouse space. If they are not working, you will find them in their garden or at the local pub!
